Receive content that just doesn't match up to the creative brief? We're all human--Sometimes we make mistakes. Here are the best practices for handling these situations with tact, to get content Worth Sharing.
Be specific
When providing feedback or requesting edits, remember to be specific. Instead of saying "please reshoot" or "not sure this hit the mark" give the Creator some specifics. What don't you like about the content? What isn't working? What edits or changes could be made that would improve the content? Actionable feedback is the best kind of feedback.
Review the creative brief
It's always a good idea to re-read the creative brief before reviewing content. If you've found that a Creator missed the mark and created content that isn't on brief, copy and paste sections of the brief that include key creative direction and send those to the Creator using the messenger. Sometimes a friendly reminder and a request to reshoot content are all you need to turn things around.
Review the Creator's application
Be sure to review the answers to pre-qualifying application questions before approving a Creator's application into your campaign. Our platform's default question asks Creators to provide their creative direction for the campaign, so it's important to ensure you are aligned with the direction that your Creator shared. If a Creator mentioned that they were planning a beach picnic, featuring your product, and then their submitted content was shot in their kitchen, you're well within your right to request a reshoot.
Remind the Creator why you selected them
Sometimes a Creator might submit content that doesn't look like it fits in with their social feed. During the vetting period, you might have reviewed the Creator's social feed and noticed a handful of posts that you really liked. Send the Creator links to your favorite posts from their feed to remind them why you selected them for the campaign. They can use their old content as inspiration when reshooting content for your campaign.
