Popular Pays now has direct API access to TikTok. With this access, we are able to display first-party data for all TikTok accounts and posts in-platform. This is made possible by requiring brands and Creators to auth either a TikTok Business account or a TikTok Creator Marketplace account on Popular Pays. This is a crucial first step. Step 2
Apply for a Gig on Popular Pays
So you’ve linked your TikTok account, now how do you apply to TikTok campaigns? The good news is that you will apply the same way that you apply to any other campaign on Popular Pays. Campaigns that you are eligible for and that are actively accepting Creator applications will be displayed on the Latest Gigs tab on creators.popularpays.com or on our iOS app. Click here for more info about applying to Gigs on Popular Pays.
Step 3
Participating in a TikTok campaign on Popular Pays
Once your Gig application has been approved and you're participating in a campaign, you will receive a notification from the TikTok within your TikTok inbox:
- In your account, go to Creator Tools > Select Creator Marketplace > then Monetization
- Under Monetization, you will see the invitation from the brand that has accepted you into the campaign on Popular Pays and their invite on the TikTok
- Go into the notification and you will see the brand name, campaign name, and brief description
- From there you should select Accept to officially confirm your participation in the campaign
- Now you're all set to complete the campaign as you normally would within Popular Pays, creating and uploading content for the brand to review, then posting the approved content to TikTok

Content approvals on Popular Pays
Content approvals will remain unchanged. Within your campaign Gig, under deliverables, you will see Video Upload and TikTok Post. You will need to upload a video for the brand to approve before you post via TikTok. Once your content has been approved to post, you will head back to TikTok and post your content there.

How to post content within the TikTok
On TikTok, go to the posting page as if you were posting a normal post. Under the description section of your video, you will see the Branded Content tab.
Select this tab in order to contribute content to the campaign. Once you select the Branded Content tab, you will see a notification pop up to confirm Turning on Branded Content. Select Turn On and the Link Campaign tab will pop up on your screen. Select which campaign the post is for and the Branded Content toggle will turn on. You will see now that the post will be labeled as Sponsored under the Branded Content tab. Enter the approved caption and hashtags. Visibility should be set to Everyone. Then you can select Post.
Step 6
Pulling content into the Popular Pays platform
Is your TikTok post not showing up in Popular Pays? Don't worry! Our platform communicates with the TikTok API every hour. If you posted correctly, your post will be matched to the campaign automatically at that point. If there are issues pulling in the post, or something isn't working properly, please reach out to support in-platform or email support@popularpays.zendesk.com for assistance.
