FAQ: Creator Payments
How are Creators paid for their work on the platform?
Creators are asked to select their payment preferences when signing up for the platform. All payments are sent via PayPal or direct deposit, to an account of the Creator's choosing.
When are Creators paid for their work on the platform?
- All payments are sent 30 days from the date that a Creator was marked complete within a campaign. Please note: the date that a social post goes live is not always the same date that a Creator is marked complete. Being marked complete means that all deliverables within the brief have been satisfied, and all social posts have been pulled into the platform stats page.
- Not sure if a Creator has been marked complete? Here's an example--Marianna has been marked complete, but Fanny still has 1 outstanding deliverable (signified by the light grey ticker).
Do Creators receive 100% of their fee amount?
Yes, absolutely. Any contracted fees that are owed will be added on top of the Creator's fee amount. For example, if your contract includes 10% fees for service/contracting/payment processing, and Fanny's fee is $100, you will be invoiced for $110 for the collaboration. Fanny will receive $100, and we will receive $10.
A Creator is saying their payment is late. Why?
Our platform sends Creator payments 30 days after they have been marked complete. If a Creator has elected to use PayPal, those funds will be available immediately. If a Creator has elected to use direct deposit, their bank may require additional time to process the payment that has been sent, causing a delay of approximately 1-3 business days. If a Creator has issues relating to payment, you can always direct them to our Support team, so we can look into the matter.
A Creator is saying they were never paid. Why?
If a Creator has not set up their payment preferences, our platform doesn't know where to send payment. Often, if a Creator complains about not receiving payment (and it has been confirmed that 30 days have elapsed since they were marked complete) it is because their payment preferences were never set up. Once they add a PayPal account or direct deposit information, we'll be able to send payment.
What if I need to change a Creator payment?
You can use our negotiation tool to send a Creator an offer. You can either change their fee amount or request that they complete additional deliverables. The best part? You don't have to worry about the math. Our platform calculates the new Creator's fee for you, inclusive of any/all contracted fees. 🤓
